I was quoted approx. $180 for the tensioner, and another 480 if the chain needs to be replaced. Is it reasonable? Can anyone recommend a shop in Westchester county, NY

Be careful!! I have seen many failures of the timing chain and tensioner after they are replaced if the cam sprocket and oil sprayer aren't done.

On price you will have to trust your tech.
