1995 S500
ABS and ASR light comes on when I am braking on occasions. Also, lose cruise control when light is on. The switch on the brake pedal has been replaced but problem continues. Also, when light is not on I lose cruise control. According to Technician, computer diags look fine.
Suggestions???

If both lights come on & stay on then there should be a diagnostic code in one of the two computers, EA/CC or Traction/ABS.
Many times an alternator that overcharges can cause these lamps to come on at times as well.

The lights come on only when I apply the brakes. Especially in traffic. What about the cruise control problem? I lose this sometimes when the lights are off/on. Could a faulty alternator cause this type of problem?

When both of those came on in my E420 I had to replace the brake stop lamp switch. Only $125 at the dealer.
