Question Wagon trunk dimensions?

I'm interested in purchasing a 1988 300TE wagon, but cannot find the size of the trunk anywhere on the net. Could someone please tell me what the dimensions are with seats folded (LxWxH)? Centimetres would be nice!

Many thanks.

I don't know about the '88 but my '94 wagon (both are W124 chassis I think) has 88 cubic feet worth of cargo area with the seats down and ~ 43 wi th the seats up (?). I've fit 6 pallets, a big reclining chair any many other large items in the car. Could fit more too but the driver side rear wall has the spare tire holding area sticking out about 5-6 inches and the wheel wells take a little room off too. L~6 ft, W~4 1/2 ft, H~3ft. These numbers are very approximate - it's too late and dark to measure for accuracy right now.

Thanks. I'd really appreciate it if you could measure your wagon: I'd like to know if my windsurfers can fit inside!

48 inches - just the tailgate
69 inches - back seat folded, seat bottom in place
87 inches - back seat folded, seat bottom removed, front passenger seat most forward
108 inches - back seat folded, seat bottom removed, and front passenger seat reclined to make it flat from glove box area to back of tailgate

Have fun with the metric conversion.

Good luck,

Believe it or not, I have put in a full sized washer and dryer into the back of our wagon.

We purchased both thinking we would have to make two trips. We began to measure and with both seats moved forward a bit and the seats all down, there was room.

The key was to of course remove the rear head rests and just go VERY slowly to avoid scraping the interior.

The people at the loading dock were blown away. One guy said to his wife "we're gonna get one of those!"
