Benzmac:
I took out the seat yesterday, and I couldn't figure out how to do any adjusting, or I don't have any clude of how to perform the repair. ( Is harder as I expected ) I open up the seats, and found two motors, one for the head rest, and the other is for the back support portion. The back support motor gear is the one that need to be clock back to the right position right ? It has a single wheel at the left side and transfer the power by this mental bar to the left side, then the seats will move. However I do not know what to do after. And I do not know how to remove the seat belt tensorer, so that I could take the whole seat out. Do u have any recommandations ? dealer ? what do I tell them to do to save some $$ Thank you for your help. |

If there is any real good independant you sould be able to get them to do the repair for a reasonable amount of money. I'm glad that some of us know when we are in over our heads! Thats why we are not all mechanics!
You are doing the right thing by letting someone else mess with the seat. They can get tricky. GOOD LUCK :> ) ------------------ Benzmac: ASE CERTIFIED MASTER AUTO TECHNICIAN LEAD TECHNICIAN FOR 14 BAY FACILITY MERCEDES SPECIALIST 8 YRS PARTNER IN MERCEDESSHOP.COM |
