w124 idle question

What are the proper idle speeds while the car is in P and in gear, given that the car is warm? The car is a 1994 E320, with the m104 engine.

Thanks
Matt

The proper idle speed while in P or N is 650RPM's plus or minus 50, same with AC compressor engaged.

In D it is 550RPM +/- 50.

Thanks for the quick reply. My car seems to be in that range with the a/c off, but seems to idle a little lower with the a/c on. Is my car normal? Or should the idle be the same with the a/c on and off??

Also with the a/c on with the car in park, sometimes it will jump up to 1000RPMs for a little then go back down. Normal?

thanks.
