My car is hard to start and when started it will not idle. Could it be my o2 sensor? I can normally only get it to start when I give it some gas on the pedal. I know I should not have to do this because it is fuel injected. It has new plugs and wires and rotor.

Improper adjustment of the fuel mixture will cause this. Also I have seen the 103 engine blow a vacuum hose off from time to time if it ever backfires.

Pull the air filter housing off and check the hoses from the idle motor ( it is located just in front of the fuel distributor), the short hose is prone to split or blow off if a backfire occurs.
Hope this helps. ------------------ MB Medic 14 year MB tech 7 year shop foreman @ independent MB/Volvo shop |
Will this cause a loss of power to the car?
Thanks. |
Yes. Also the over voltage relay can cause this, especially if you have jumped off the carr lately.
