1986 300sdl door light electrical problem
I have no door buzzer, dome light or door marker lights in the front with the passenger or drivers door open. I noticed one of the door switches was not working internally, so I took it apart and fixed it, but when I reconnected it the door sill lights came on both sides (but no buzzer or dome), and the wires started to melt. I think someone disabled that switch because of this. Any ideas about why these wires are melting, and why the buzzer and dome stopped working? Im guessing the issues may be connected, but the dome and buzzer used to work not long ago. Ive owned the car 10 years, and that switch was disabled before I owned it.
All fuses are good. Last edited by pilot53; 12-25-2024 at 09:14 PM. |

There is a relay "warning modules" that buzzes when key in or lights on engine off and or when doors open, behind the dash usually under the dash
