I keep reading that it is better to use lead acid batteries in older cars because their charging systems are set-up for lead acid batteries. Is it better to use lead acid or would it be alright to install an AGM battery?

I'd stay with what the factory installed which I believe is lead acid not AGM due to slightly different charging voltages and the initial cost
