how to pull out blower from W115 ??

The heater blower on my recently bought 240D '76 makes very loud sound when turned on and I found that fuse was bypassed. But what the real problem is that it starts to rattle very loud when car is going above 60 mph or so. I do not plan to replace it, I just want to reach it and through it out, and not to have any more problems with it. The car does not have airconditioner, and here in California it needs the heater fan even less.. . I had central consol off but could not find that blower ... I could see heater itself. I do not have the manual for W115, just Haynes for 123, and I did not find much there on how to tackle this job ... I would appreciate any advice on how to do this! Will I need to drain and take off the heater??
