overdrive?
On a 87 560 SL, is fourth gear overdrive or a 1:1 ratio? Also, can someone let me know what the transmisson gear ratios are, and the final drive ratio as well. Thanks!!!!

Fourth gear is 1/1 on that & most MB automatics before 1996, ONLY the 300SL(1990 & later) and the 300SE(W140 chassis) had overdrive ratios for top gear IN the USA.
1st gear is 3.68/1 2nd gear is 2.41/1 3rd gear is 1.44/1 4th gear is 1/1 reverse is 5.14/1
