Oil blow-by !
I was wondering, yesterday I changed my oil and filter. When I removed the air filter housing there is oil inside the housing coming from the valve cover. My car is going to be getting a valve job in the near future but until then should I pull the ventilation tube and plug the hole in the air filter housing. I jsut dont see how sucking motor oil through my intake can be good for my car. In fact maybe thats what is making it hesitate every now and then. Any suggestions?

Engines eating the oil vapor from the crank case is a good thing. It helps the enviroment by reducing polution and the oil lubricates the valve stems and the top end of the cylinders. It also keeps the crankcase clean. Sounds like everything is normal. Dont fool with it. The hesitation problem is not related to the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system.
