Question Replacement Wood Trim

Does anyone know where I could get replacement wood trim for my 1983 300SD? I especially need the section at the drivers door release handle. I would prefer to get a complete set however because of color matching. Am I completely delusional?
Is this available from the Dealer. I have done several web searches but have turned up disappointed. I know that I cannot be the only MB owner that needs some wood trim. Any help will be appreciated.

The wood trim for 126's is available at the dealer... but it is expensive. It is possible to special order all of the wood trim so that it will match perfectly, but will take a month or two to get it.

Find a salvage yard with a good selection of 126's and you'll be able to find very close color/grain matches, many in near excellent shape. I was able to locate some nice burl pieces that were almost exact matches for grain and coloration for the 560. Price sure beats what the dealer wants.

Try Heritage Woodworks to restore the old pieces.

I just got a catalog from performance products today and I saw a seven piece kit for the 124 in zebrano or burl for about $400. You can order a catalog for your specific model through their website[URL=www.************************] They have a lot of great stuff.
Good luck

Try looking in the back of a Motor Trend or Car & Criver. there are many after market companies that have these. We just used a company a few weeks ago to put wood in my friends Jetta TDI and Carbon fiber in his BMW.
