Where is the location of the battery on 96 E320?

check your trunk,passenger side under a cover.i have an s-class and that's where mine is

Actually, it's under the rear passenger seat, on the right side.
Remove the seat by running your hand under the seat near the front corners, and lifting 2 small latches.

My neighbor's '91 Audi 100 has it's battery under the rear seat, passenger side, also.

VW Beetles used to have the battery under the seat, too. Always leaked and ate a hole in the floor.
