Key-close and Auto-down windows question

My‘92 300TE has the feature to close the windows and sunroof while locking with the key (and you can open them on a hot day by cleverly using the safety reverse feature -- a very nice thing, indeed). Also, it has auto-down windows in the front. I would love these features in my ‘86 300E. Is this something simple like a switch or relay swap, or is it more involved? Many thanks! Ciao

I too am intrested in how I could make the "auto down" feature work in my car (83 SD). I have used this alot in company cars and really find this handy (I like any feature that makes my life easier - I don't care if you think im nuts) Is there any other car I could swap parts with to make this work?

I have just picked up a one touch window kit from www.bergwerks.com. It comes with quite comprehensive instructions to fit.

Retrofitting the Benz convience features such as "summer opening" would be tough and expensive. However the aftermarket kits, properly installed are cool.

Mattman, that url, bergwerks does not work -- error 403. Are you sure that is the spelling? And I think that is Bergsma Motorworks in Bellingham WA, is it?

There is a fullstop on the end by mistake. Try www.bergwerks.com
