cooling fan runs constantly '93 300e...advice needed
just when i thought everything was right, i have noticed that the right electric cooling fan is now on constantly with the ignition switched on or engine running. this is happening regardless of engine temperature or if the a-c is on or off. any leads on where to start diagnostics appreciated!
thanks in advance, rob |

Don't recall the name of the electro-gadget, but the SOHC M103 cars have a sensor near the front that goes nuts sometimes if the engine has been cleaned in a car wash. I learned this from a tech at another site.
Hopefully someone will chime in with the name/actual location.

Your car should have a 104 eng.
Check the blue 2 wire temp switch on the thermostat housing for open circuit/unplugged, This is aux fan cut-in sw. It is a temp changing thermister and an open/ unplugged/bad connection will cause fan operation. Curious to ask about "Right Fan " ??? in your post... |
