transmission clunks
My 99 c230 sport will clunk when going to a stop. The modulator has been replaced a while ago because it was clunking louder than it is, but it still clunks? Any idea? it has 25k.

During sudden deacceleration, the trans will make a hard downshift. Sometimes, I think I hit something but I assume it is normal operation. MB trans usually fail very early or never. You have warranty, go make MB bleed. Does it clunk when shifting into gear, could be flex discs (but sounds too early).
