advise on 1990 300E needed

I am a newbee. I have the chance to buy a 1990 300 E with 112K miles on it for 7800. It needs 4 tires. Is this a good price? Should I be aware of any problems with this car? Is this a good year for this car? Any advice is appreciated. Car looks clean and seller says it was maintained immaculately. I am at least the 3rd owner
