I just signed on a few minutes ago after reading some of the interesting posts.
I have a European version 1963 230sl which I have driven for the past 3 years. Its in pretty good shape however I would like to make contacts with people who have older sl's or the knowledge to work on them . I try to do most of my own work whenever I can. So any help in getting repair manuals , tech tips etc. would be greatly appreciated. I will also post specific problems I have been having with the car.

Try also asking in the SL forum on this site - most of the SL owners lurk in there
