I have a 1979 350 SL (grey-line) M.B. and every year it needs a new battery; the battery just won't hold a charge (nothing is being left on). What do you think could be causing this? ------------------ |

It sounds like the alt. is working , but only in a limited capacity. You may want to have the output checked against the rating.
