Could be a bad distributor cap and/or rotor. Could also be the ignition cables/leads may be faulty..but it would misfire at low speeds also if the leads/wires were defective.
Could also be a faulty coil not giving the spark plugs enough current to ignite the spark plugs.

Good Luck..

IF YOU CHANGE ALL THOSE THINGS ITS THE FUEL SYSTEM NOT GETTING ENOUGH GAS, I KNOW BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM RIGHT NOW WITH MY 85 190E AND I DID A FULL TUNE UP AND THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE.

I agree. You have to begin to conquer and divide. Do the basics as I mentioned. Eliminate the electrical, then go to the fuel. Don't neglect the small vacuum lines. These can also kick you in the butt !!!

My wife's 2.6 ran like a dog off the line also. I previously had some platinum plugs in them. After reading several posts on the issue, I replaced the plugs with copper ones and also replaced the O2 sensor since it was getting horrible gas mileage.
Now it goes off the line and the gas mileage is back to normal.

Good luck..
