Power rating on Euro '77 450 SEL

Very recently, I purchased a 1-owner 58K mile 77 450 SEL, Euro version. Car is pristine, and was garaged and maintained.

I just sold my 88 420 SEL. Big difference between the 2!! The 450 seems to have at least 1/3 more engine, both at take-off and at speed. Incredible. About 3 mpg less on the 450 SEL, but worth the trade-off!!

Question: On this 450, can anyone tell me what the HP (and perhaps torque) is rated at? I'm most curious, because this one seems to have the same power and performance that my -86 560 SEC once had.

Can anyone illuminate me? Thanks!!!

This guy has been trying to sell a dark blue 450SEL forever. If you're serious you should see if its still available.

Sorry for hijacking the thread; I just thought Far might be interested.

No, sorry. For now, want to keep it and drive it. It's such a 'tossable' large sedan. Much more so than my prior 420 SEL-although it was newer. Better sight lines off the front as well. A real 'old Benz' feel to the car. Can't find that in the newer ones.
