One heated mirror out - advice needed
Ok....I got a "old" 87 190E. In this car both mirrors are heated automatically whenever engine is running.
On my driver side the mirror doesn't heat up like passenger side. I already found out that there is power to both of them so it's not a power problem. Does anyone know if heater element in mirrors will be worn when getting old. Something like elements won't produce same amount of heat...This is just a thought...I don't know so I'm asking you techs. Thanks for any replies, Bertil

Don't know much about 190s but this is how ite works on a 124. Power is fed to both mirrors whenever the ignition is on. There is a thermo switch on the back of each mirror glass and the element is bonded to the glass.
So check for power at the mirrors when ignition is on, if there is then either the element or thermo switch are faulty and you need to replace the glass.

Early W124 has the exact same mirrors as the w201.
And I got power at connector in mirror housing. I think I NEEED a new mirror glass. Thank you for your reply.
