Size of Crossover Pipe Bolts on OM603
I need to use a thread repair kit on the manifold side of my crossover pipe. This is the rectangular end, not the round end. After installing a new gasket, the hex-head bolt closest to the front of the car does not want to snug up and is leaking oil vapor and is smelling like hot oil.
What I am trying to find is the size of the helicoil kit I'll need. Again, I went back to the parts store and they insist they will need both parts...the bolt and the receiving end before they can determine which size helicoil kit is needed. Any advice would be appreciated. The car is an 87 300SDL.
