Unhappy '98 C280 Starting Problems

For about 2 months now on occasion my car will not start right away. When I go to start it, it will turn over once and stop, sometimes it takes me 3-5 tries before it actually starts. This morning it did it 3 times then started but shortly there after stalled. This is getting me worried b/ I do not have the money for a pricey repair at this time. Has anyone herd of this problem or have an idea on what it might be?

Thanks in Advance, Christopher

Remove the starter and lube the bendix shaft with antisieze. This
WILL fix the problem.
