Stranded --need Substitute Transmission Fluid
Noticed transmission suddenly shifting strangely so stopped at office. Fluid level is low. Dealership and most parts stores closed. Anyone know what type fluid that the Febi Bilstein would correspond to? Fastlane shows the fluid to be the Bilstein 08971 and I am wondering if anyone knows what else would work in an emergency. The car is a 91-300TE. There are 3 convenience stores pretty close and I know thy have a few types of ATF, but not much selection. Please help of you know, I don't want to drive it like it is. Dealership just changed fluid and filter a couple of months back, but I haven't seen a leak.

Ok?
For sure? Is this ok for regular use, or does it have to be drained soon and repalced with the other stuff? The fluid on the stick is not red and while I thought that the DEX III might work, the Febi Bilstein website lists MSDS sheets for their prioducts and one was a Dexron II-III this particurlar one did not show any such compatibility so it worried me.

I have an old Dexron III bottle in my supply cabinetwhich I will go out and add. Thanks for the info. I don't have any reference material with me and was worried that this may use something wierd.....
