Does new steering damper require alignment?

I just got 4 new tires and new shocks and struts. Later this week I'm treating my 89' 260e to a 4-wheel alignment.

I was planning on replacing the steering damper in the spring. Will this require another alignment? Thanks.

No alignment necessary.

I recently replaced the steering shock and two tie rod ends on my '89 300E. I was told that none of this would require alignment but there was a noticable pull in the steering after.....
I suspect it was the tie rod ends that made this necessary but not sure. There is no reason the shock should change anything.
If I was putting 4 new tires on though, I would be tempted to do an alignment uness I was very sure the car didn't need one.

No need to do an alignment because you replaced the steering dampener. Unless there are obvious signs of uneven wear on the tires, wheel alignment is not required. The dampener has nothing to do with the alignment.

Yep, tie rod replacement, even one, requires a wheel alignment.

And yes, tie rod or tie rod bushings don't need to be replaced in pairs. You can replace one or the other.
