shock question 190-16v

Is replacing the front shocks in my 2.3-16v considered a job that can be done my myself, or are special tools/skills required? Does the car need to be re-aligned afterwards? Thanks for the help.

if you've never done it before, it's best left to a pro. there is a very real danger of death if you f%$# up.

not really any special skills, just a hell of a lot of caution some special tools will be required to remove the spring.

the front suspension will be disassembled to do this re&re. yes, you will need to re-align.

It's not necessary to remove the springs. Extreme care should be taken, and if you're not 100% confident in your ability, take it to a pro. If you're just replacing the struts, you won't necessarily need an alignment but it might be a good idea to get one anyway.
