87 260E choking
Hi,
I just revived an 87 260E from storage in the garage. I would drive it for 20 minutes and would suddenly choke. It would act as if it wanted to die. It would only be for a second then it's smooth again. It happens when in stop and go traffic going to work. It has not been driven much before now... 52K mi. original miles. What could be the culprit? I'm thinking I should do a major tune-up. cap, rotors, wires, oil change, fuel filter, air filter, coolant, etc... You help would really be appreciated... thanks,

Take it to the highway and run it hard to clean the carbon out of your engine!
Put a bottle or two of a good fuel system cleaner and then do the major tune-up as you mentioned before.
Good luck!
