rear bumper on 91 300D
Could somebody please explain to me how to remove the rear bumper of a 1991 E 300 Diesel (euro). I had a little crash going in reverse into a low concrete milepost-like-thing and the left side of my rear bumper came loose. The snap-on devise is not broken, but in order to hang the bumper back into it, I think I have to slide it in from the rear. So I need to pull back the whole bumper back by at least 6-9 inches and I have no idea how to go about it. I looked under the car expecting to find bolts or nuts holding the bumper, but I didn't see what's keeping the thing on.
Thank you in advance. |

There are 6 nuts inside of the trunk that must be removed so that the bumper can SLIDE back from the car.
