Help, transmission problem 300-CE
Hi, i have 2 questions and i hope that someone can give me a anwser on these.
1) For the last 2 months i have a problem with my transmission, When i shift the gears from "N" to "R" then my car gives a hard shock. And its the same when i do this from "N" to "D" 2) Last week i have changed the springs of my car, it was lowerd and now i have put the standard springs. The problem now is that Rear is standing much higher than the front and it looks like a drag-racer. How can i fix this Thanks in advance, Greeting from The Netherlands. |

As to the ride height, either you have the wrong springs or the wrong spacers. I would verify the numbers for the springs. They have options based upon the variants of the base model your car is.
Once the springs are right the height can be varied by the thickness of the rubber spacer spring mounts. As to the tranny, I would look to the engine speed and/or the mounting of the differential. The engine speed should be around 600rpms and should stay about the same after engagement.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, i had lowerd the engine speed to 800rpm but the problem got bigger, the engine shut off. |

So your problem is indeed the engine and not the trans.
Your engine shouldn't be idle speed adjustable. It is controlled by the KE controller and it isn't.

KE is the engine management system (fuel/air). The control of fuel and engine idle are handled by the KE controller. The functions of your European model could be different than the US version but I'm pretty sure your idle is electronically monitored and controlled.
