Timing

I'm just finishing the head gasket on my 91 300 sl. I marked the cams and avoided turning the crank to keep the timing in line. Is there any need to return everything to TDC? The gasket was leaking...everything else was fine. Should I move everything to TDC and figure out if I need a woodruff key? What are the TDC marks on each of the cams?

The head on this was not paricularly difficult to disammemble. It's worth noting that the exhaust manifolds can stay in place, which eliminates a lot of work. Seems a bit odd that a head gasket would blow with only 98k.

It's only when you get into these cars that you realize how well built they are. Boy I hope I did this right.....
