replacing 107 fuel pump

I am ready to replace my fuel pump on 83 380SL which is screaming very loud.
One quick question? Will I need to drain the tank or can I just clamp off the hose if need be?

Thanks

Usually the hose is very old and brittle. If you clamp it, it may crack and leak. If you plan on doing a good job, just replace all of the hoses while there.

Thanks for the advice on the hoses. Will go ahead and do that while I am there.
