300TE trip to the tip of the East coast (Key West)

Drove the our 93 300TE 4 MATIC station wagon with the family (wife and dog) to Key West for Thanksgiving holiday, it was an awesome drive. Uneventful except for the little transmission fluid leak all along the way. On the way down I realized that I didn't tighten the transmission pan (after the last fuild change) correctly with a torque wrench, and after a good warm up from the long drive it started spilling fluids all along the highway. Luckily I made it back home with the fluid level still in the safety zone so I can correctly tighten the bolts with a torque wrench.

Prior to the trip I changed the plugs, air filter, transmission fluid and filter, engine oil, oil filter (Mobil 1 15w50), and Chevron Techron fuel injector cleaner. After the trip (probably from using three bottle of fuel injector cleaners) the car felt it gained about 15% increase in power. (SOP feel).

Below are some pictures to share.

In the parking lot of the breakfast Inn we stayed at "Courtney's place".

Taken about 30 minutes north of Key West
