is kendal 15w-40 d3 ch4 sj a recommended oil?
I've got a 95E320 w/ 170,000 km on it. As I run a ford diesel (f250) to lug things around, I was wondering if Kendall 15w-40 (d3 ch4 sj) is alright to use. Kendall offers engine analysis on the used oil that I thought would be nice to add to this engine.
Thoughts please |

This oil is classified as a "universal" grade oil. I use a different brand universal grade oil in everything I own ranging from diesel tractor, gas cars, gas trucks and lawn tractors.
The big advantage when using in gas engines is the fact that additional detergents are put in these oils for soot dispersal in diesel engines. These additives keep a gas engine squeeky clean inside. I highly recommend universal grade for everything. Good luck, |

I use Chevron Delo 15/40, but my dad still insists on Castrol 20/50 to be used in his 380SL.
