Who does the best trailer hitch ? on 300E

Advise needed on having a light duty trailer hitch put on my 87 300E (124 car). I need to be able to haul a small util trailer, or fishing boat and trailer. Have any of you purchased or made a similar hitch. I am in AR , central USA. Cost ?

I live near the Mercedes factory, so everyone has a Mercedes. And it's very common to see trailer hitches on these cars. My neighbor has a trailer hook on his CLK convertible. The hitch was/is a factory installed option, and there are a few companies that sell hitches (some with removable hooks) for specific models here in Germany.

Would you be able to identify websites that show the german factory options and part numbers?

Also any websites for the aftermarket suppliers would be appreciated.

I am looking for what is available in Europe for the long base S430 as these option are not available in the US or Canada.

TIA

Glenn

Take a look at www.hitch-web.com

You can download a .pdf of the installation instructions for each hitch.

Thanks, but I am looking for what is available from Germany. The aftermarket hitch for my car, 2000 S430, in this country has limited capacity at a premium price.

I had a BMW with a Bosal hitch, nice quality. After visiting their page, click on products, then hitches to see an example (generic shown) http://www.bosal.com/BIM/index.html

Here's a retailer's page for several brands:

http://www.kupplung.de/

Do a search for Anhänger or Anhängerkupplungen or AHK.
