The timing pointer in my 1980 240d is badly bent towards the left side of the engine. I need to replace it, but I'm not sure if the bolt holding the timing pointer holds anything else. It looks (size & location) like it may be a timing chain rail bolt as well as the timing pointer bolt, and I don't have an MB manual.
Can I R&R the timing pointer without disturbing anything else? Many thanks, Hatch ------------------ 1980 240d 4sp ASE Master Auto Technician ASE Advanced Engine Performance |
