W201 rear view mirror - disassembly
 

Anyone know the procedure for replacing the mirror on a manually adjustable outside rear view mirror on a 190E? Or how can I disassemble the mirror in general? It's not on the car at this point, if that makes it easier :)

In case you're wondering why...I just bought a RHD market right side mirror for my 16V. It matches the U.S. market driver's side mirror in profile. The one I bought is manually adjustable and heated. I'm hoping to swap the electrics from my old mirror into the new one. Wish me luck! :cool:

Yes I do, take something thin and slip it between the outer edge of the glass mirror and the plastic mirror shell and pry the mirror out and away from the housing. It will pop out of a ball joint and then you can get to the screws to disasemble it all the way. Let me know if this helped...
