want to lube wiper assy

ive just removed the mono wiper assy on my 90 300te 4matic to access the blower motor which was in need of oiling.does anyone know how to remove the round cover on the wiper assy to lube the mechanism

Do a search. There was a thread on this last week. The upshot of it was that some (like mine) do not allow you to completely open up the black plastic clamshell which encloses the gears, but one end can be SLIGHTLY pried open and some lubricant squirted in.

that was the case in my 201 (did it last week). The bottom side of the round clamshell has 5 screws. i took them off and was able to squirt some lithium grease in (about 1/16 opening). I think it help somewhat, because wiper moves faster. COULD NOT take off the cover completely.

I have simply extended the shaft all the way out (wiper in middle if stll on car), wiped the shaft off, and re-applied lithium grease. Not a bad thing to do each oil change.
