Attn Right hand drivers (Europe)
W201/W124 Right hand drive left side mirror (square)
manually operated. Does anyone know the part number to this so I can order it from the mb dealer in the United States? Or Does someone in europe know where to get about 4-5 of them? Thanks, Austin

Guess you could contact a few junkyards in UK if you don't mind if they are used.

Austin,
Are you planning to do what I've been thinking about for some time - to have two square convex mirrors on both sides of the car? That's because I prefer convex mirrors to flat ones. |

Yes, thats exactly what I want to do. From the junkyard is fine, I just want them manual and with all the hardware.
Thanks

I have a 1989 230TE which I believe is a W124. My left hand mirror is square but electically operated - do they have a manual option? My drivers side mirror is manual - but rectangular. Regards NortmanB

Hi,
On UK cars (RHD), the passenger side mirror is electrically controlled. You would need to have a changeover switch to allow the joystick to control both sides. Cheers, Richard 1989 W124 300E

yeah I was thinking of taking the fader out and putting a hazard switch to switch between the two sides, however, I bet on 200E w124 cars, they have manual ones...or any lower option car.
Could you tell me the part number for the electric one on your left side?

In UK early 124 models have manual drivers side and electric passenger, later ones have both electric. Simple joystick on early, on late joystick is a bigger round knob you twist to select the mirror.
Your best bet is to E-mail the parts dept of any UK dealer, you will find a directory via MBUK website at http://www.mercedes.co.uk

you could search on the following sites-www.gsfcarparts.com-saw the mirrors on under the body and trim section-you can mail order.
the other supplier is eurocarpats.com these are the two big competitive suppliers in uk similar to fastlane in the usa-good prices compared to the dealers. |
