Ignition lock and cylinder removal
is it possible to remove the ignition lock and cylinder without taking off the steering wheel? My car already had ignition work done, and it looks like whoever removed the steering wheel before stripped the bolt! I just don't want to strip it anymore then it already is, then there will be no way of taking that thing off.
Thanks, Peter V.

you cant get the cluster out with the wheel on a 201 body. (at least I haven't been able too)

I guess I got lucky. I was able to sneak out the instrument cluster out with little problem just a few hours ago.

There's no problem pulling the instrument cluster from a W201 with the steering wheel on, you just need to tip it upward to clear the wheel.
Did you manage to get the ignition lock and cylinder out? |

not yet, I will tackle it tomorrow morning. Anyone have any tips for me? I noticed that there really isn't much room to un-screw some bolts, but not becuase of the steering wheel.I have tried to take the steering wheel off, but I did not want to strip the bolt more then it already is. That bolt is on pretty tight, too, as it should be. I'll post more questions and results sometime tomorrow.
Thanks, Peter V.
