300E humming noise when turning right at low speeds

From zero MPH if I accellerate slightly into a right turn (90 degree) I hear a humming noise that sounds like a semi truck coming to a stop. Could this be a steering or suspension related noise or perhaps something like wheel bearings or rear differential? The noise only occurs at low speed when turning right. Any ideas? Thanks |

asiamood My guess is a wheel bearing. Have you had your fronts adjusted recently? If my memory serves me correctly, some one else found a similiar sound came from a worn disc/pads. Haasman

Nope. But the pads are supposedly new. Also I just put new wheels on the car but I'm pretty sure the noise was present before the new wheels. If it is a wheel bearing and it only happens when turning right, would that indicate that the bearing in question is on the right side?

Had similar symptoms when I initially purchased the car. It turned out that the balljoint and control arm bushings had to be replaced. Hope that does it...
