i have a new high temp thermostat.
even at idling the water temp does not go above 65 degrees . what could the problem be????????????? |

A faulty sender or gauge? or the thermostat is faulty out of the box. Use OE manufaturer only on the thermostat. On the 617 engine the thermostat should have an arrow that points up that most do not see.
