I have a 1991 350 SDL with 116K miles(I bought new). Turbo has started to leak oil. What is the fix and how much should it cost me?
Is this an urgent repair? Thank you for your input! [This message has been edited by ezrider (edited 10-14-1999).] |

The turbo can leak oil from many places...I would ask a service tech at a local shop you trust to look it over and give you an opinion.

The most common leaks we see from the turbos involve the drainback tube that runs into the oil pan. the repair is quite easy and cheap to repair. If the oil is seeping from the housing a rebuilt turbo may be in order. Past experience has shown that slight seepage is common on older high mileage units.
