The paint on my sunroof is flaking off. Rather than painting it, I thought it would be nice to replace the whole thing with a moonroof. Is this possible? Will the moonroof units on the newer models fit on mine? Or are there any aftermarket products I could get that would fit so I don't have to cut the roof?

Don't know if this will help, but the MB option code for the electric sunroof in steel was 412. There is also a code 414 that is described as a glass version.
