87 300E, change sunroof to moonroof - possible?

The paint on my sunroof is flaking off. Rather than painting it, I thought it would be nice to replace the whole thing with a moonroof. Is this possible? Will the moonroof units on the newer models fit on mine? Or are there any aftermarket products I could get that would fit so I don't have to cut the roof?
