I have lots of good stuff in my shop, but no way will I post pictures here. My shop is such a bloody mess I would really be ashamed to post anything after seeing a nice neat place such as this.
Have a great day, |

Garage pictures - share yours!
My garage is nothing special, but I added these pictures to my web site to show where I work on my cars.
Go to Cars - The Garage Enjoy, and post yours! |

I don't know how you guys saw the pictures as the menu page moves all over on it's own. I can't even select 'cars' as it won't hold still long enough.??

Very nice. You have to go full screen on the page to keep it from rolling, but after that it's a breeze.

I disabled the rolling
Now, even if you are in less than full page, should the menu overlap the screen, just use the scroll bars to bring your root selection ('Cars' in this case) on the screen.
A mouse over will then give you the sub-menu selections, including 'The Garage'). (Thanks, MTI - I didn't realize this caused some folks problems). |

Hmmmm...
I tactfully cropped out that part of the picture with the oil stained cardboard which catches the drips from my 560SEL!

Wish I had the time and werewithall to get my garage in such order! All, well nearly all, my automotive tools are stuffed into a couple rollaways stowed on the side wall. The workbench and peg board house many of my woodworking tools. The 4.5 gets to use one bay, the MGB gets the third bay while my big shop tools reside in the center bay along with the shooting gear and accessories (shooting box, targets and stands and ammo [stacked and sorted by date of manufacture]).
Nice looking garage Thomas. Jim, that wouldn't be the TC hiding on the center shelf of the roll away table now would it??

I use AllWebMenus for the menu and Express Thumbnail Creator for the thumbs. Annotation is done with 2020. These tools preclude writing any HTML, and are fast and simple. You can locate all of these on the web with Google.com.
Site management is done with CuteFTP Pro. My ISP is readyhosting.com - about $100/year for 250 megs and now much faster than it used to be. My site only uses 20% of that capacity! Most pix are ~600x400 - that's all you need on the web and they load fast for those with dial-up connections. IrfanView (from cnet.com) is used to size and crop the pix. The car maintenance snaps are taken on my wife's Olympus D340 - only 1.3mp, but more than adequate for this purpose. The 'real' pix ('Color' and 'Monochrome' tabs on my home page) are from 35mm originals, scanned with a Nikon Coolscan II - a superior combination only now being challenged by the latest ($8k+!) 11mp digital cameras. I'm in the South Bay area. Hope that helps. |

A bit of fun - and my favorite place to be!
As the original pictures seemed quite popular, I added some more of the adjacent workshop which doubles for both wood and metal working.
Go to Cars - Pictorial - Garage and Workshop on my web site. This is nothing more than a one car garage with drywall to isolate dust from the car garage. Every time I want to complain about how cramped it is I remind myself that it beats no workshop at all. Dust control is fairly fastidious as wood dust in the lungs is not a prescription for long life. Every machine has a port for vacuum. Enjoy! |
