crashed brand new E500
I have never even seen E500 sedan until today. One had a moderate crash just off of the highway I live on. I passed the state police cars at the intersection, then was behind a rollback truck, with the brand new Mercedes, that still had a dealer plate and it was pulling the other car- a very early 90s Acura Integra. Crash was bad enough to deploy the airbags on the front of the Mercedes, as well as the driver side curtain airbags. There are very nice looking Mercedes. I never even knew they made them. Is 2003 the first year for this E-class redesign? I really like the new 2003 C-class sedans too.

Yes, 2003 is the first year for the W211 E-class. It replaces the familiar W210. Although initial sales have been a bit slow, it won't be long before we start seeing them all over the place. One thing worth noting is that the E-class wagon for 2003 is still a W210. I attended MB technical training for the W211 last month and I can tell you for certain that it's quite a car.

The W211 series was unveiled early 2002 and went into production around May 02. US dates are always somewhat later though.

If you want to talk about rare accidents..about a month ago I saw a G55 AMG completely wrecked (probably only a few in the US). Hate to be the one that got hit by a G class!
