strange noise from rear end
my 1988 300SEL makes a metalic klunking noise when taking off and turning right at the same time, but goe's away sometimes and i won't hear it for days but always comes back.

Check the exhaust system to see if it's hitting the cross member at the right side. The motor mounts may have settled too much or the exhaust may need to be re-positioned. This is a common complaint with 103 powered 126's.

That's funny, just a little while ago I noticed a really strange noise from my rear end, too...oh, you mean the car. Oh, sorry.
