Lower Octane Fuel

Got a quick question, with Gas Prices on the rise and all, could I put in Regular Unleaded Fuel (87octane), I put the Medium Grade in a few days ago. But lucky for me a friend offered to fill my tank yesterday (did him a favor), so now it's full of Premium, but it's enevidable that i'll have to refill it again. What does everyone suggest??
thanks

MB recommends 91 octane fuel. AS long as you are within 1 point of that then you should be OK.
Mixing 93 octane with 87 octane will make 90 octane. Some stations only have 2 grades & then mix those to get other octane grades. Ie; Sunoco, also they don't buy crude from the "middle east".

Chris, there's been a lot of discussion about this in the past. Search the archives using the word "octane".
