Question 1994 E320 Trim Question

I have a dent on the thin decorative strip that sits on top of the lower cladding on my driver side door. Does anyone know if this strip is part of the cladding, or can it be removed and replaced with a new piece? Thanks in advance for your responses.

i have a similar question. my 1994 E320 has now a gap between the door and the top section of lower cladding. what can i do to reattach it to the door? should i push so it snaps to it, or can i glue the edge against the door?

thanks in advance,

carlos.
