Help - ATF

Sorry guys. This is for my neighbor who has a '95 Passat VR6. We looked all over the engine bay but cannot find where you add ATF. Does anyone know where it is located?

He called the dealer and they told him it is hidden so he has to bring the car to them. Talk about rip off!!

In 1996, Isuzu relocated the refill for auto trannies on 3.2l motors to a spot on the main tranny pan. Along with this came a requirement for a special tool, else damaged tranny.

Maybe VW did something similar.

You might try to post this on the general forum as well.
